- The story behind this

I didn't have a plan.
I just had to figure it out.

This is the real story. The cakes, the eBay listings, the pizza boxes, the ecommerce brand, and eventually an agency. Not because it’s impressive, but because if you’re trying to build halal income online from scratch, this might be the most relevant thing you’ll read today.

The beginning

London → Egypt

I became Muslim, got married,
and made hijrah.

I reverted to Islam in London. About a year later, after getting married, my wife and I made a decision to leave the UK and move to Egypt to raise our family in a better environment, in the Muslim lands, closer to our values.

The decision was grounded in tawakkul. Allah says in the Quran:

"Whoever leaves their home in the cause of Allah will find on earth many dwelling places and plenty to live by."

But I also tied my camel. Before leaving, I was a manager at a company in the UK. My boss agreed I could continue some remote work for a small salary. It was enough to cover our basic needs while we settled in. It wasn’t much, but it was a plan. A starting point.

Within a few months of arriving in Egypt, that company shut down, and I lost my job.

I was now in a foreign country, with a young family, no income, no local connections, and at the time I didn’t even speak Arabic. What happened next became the most important period of my life.

The hustle years

Trying everything

No income. Foreign country.
No Arabic. Let's go.

When you have no choice, you find a way. I started doing whatever I could to bring in money and provide for my family. Not because I had a strategy, but because I had a responsibility.

Baking & selling cakes

I started baking at home and selling to students after Islamic study lessons, and to local shops. My first lesson: making something and selling something are two completely different skills.

Exporting pizza boxes to Somalia

I exported two full container loads, and then my customer went out of business. I learned international trade, B2B negotiation, and logistics the hard way.

Niqabs on eBay

Like Abdurahman ibn Auf (رضى الله عنه.) who arrived in Madinah with nothing and went straight to the marketplace. I found something to trade, sourced niqabs, and started selling on eBay. Alhamdulillah, they sold. But PayPal and eBay fees were costly.

Built my own ecommerce store

To escape the fees, I decided to launch my own store. That meant learning web design and SEO from scratch. It worked. I scaled to customers in over 14 countries worldwide.

That last step, building my own store, changed everything. Because to do it properly, I had to learn the skills. Web design. SEO. Digital marketing. Conversion. And once I had them, others started asking for help.

Kwayse wasn’t a business idea I had. It was the natural result of solving my own problem and realising I could help others solve theirs.

October 2019 – present

Building Kwayse

Then I built something
that actually lasted.

In October 2019 I founded Kwayse a digital growth agency working with businesses across the globe on websites, SEO, Google Ads, and AI search visibility.

Almost 7 years later, it’s still running. It crossed 6 figures. And everything I teach now is drawn directly from what I’ve learned building and running it. Not theory, not recycled content from someone else’s course.

Annual revenue. Built without venture capital or outside investment

I’m sharing this not to impress you but to show you that this is possible from where you are. I built this while living abroad, without the typical advantages, one client and one lesson at a time.

Why this exists

Abdurahman Digital

I'm not a guru.
I'm still in it.

There’s no shortage of people online telling you how to make money. Most of them stopped doing the actual work years ago, if they ever did it at all.

I still run Kwayse. I still take client calls. I still do the work. And that means everything I share here is current, tested, and honest.

Abdurahman Digital exists because when I was starting out, I couldn’t find guidance that spoke to my situation. Someone who had made hijrah, was building from scratch with limited resources, and needed practical income without compromising values. I want to be that resource for you.

Not a high-ticket programme. Not a dream-selling machine. Just real skills, real lessons, and a community of people on the same path.

This is for you if...

You want to build something real

This brand isn’t for everyone. It’s built specifically for Muslims who want practical, honest guidance. Not a shortcut that doesn’t exist.

This is not for you if you're looking for overnight income, passive money without effort, or expensive high-ticket promises. There are plenty of those out there. This isn't one of them.
